Cincinnati wide receiver Chris Henry, arrested four times in 14 months and suspended for the first half of the 2007 season, was arrested again and accused of punching an 18-year-old man in the face.

According to the Associated Press he also broke the man’s car window with a beer bottle.

The 24-year-old Henry was charged with misdemeanor assault and criminal damaging in the Monday incident and a warrant for his arrest was issued by Hamilton County Municipal Court.

In addition to his four other arrests, which included pleading guilty to letting minors drink alcohol in a hotel room he rented, Henry had also been in court last week after being ticketed for driving with expired Kentucky license plates.

The Bengals and Henry’s attorney Robert Lotz declined to comment for the Associated Press story. Henry’s agent, Marvin Frazier, told AP Henry gave him a different version of the events but declined to elaborate.

Henry was the third receiver on the Bengals roster last season behind Chad Johnson and T.J. Houshmandzadeh, both of whom are skipping off-season workouts to show dissatisfaction with their contracts. Which one would think means Henry has a chance to increase his role next season by getting some extra work in with his teammates.

But at some point the Bengals are going to have to cut the chord with this guy. If an eight-game suspension, five trips to jail, fines, warnings – and the opportunity to potentially play more – all don’t work then this might be a hopeless case. It’s too bad – he’s incredibly talented. But the phrase million-dollar hands, ten-cent head apparently points directly to Henry.

Add to the Bengals’ draft needs list wide receiver. Probably a couple. The guys they have are incredibly talented, but wow. Has there ever been a greater collection of head cases on one team at any time in the past? Unreal.
