His thoughts:

The fourth spot was pretty much exactly where I wanted to be, and it couldn’t have worked out better. I got a minor injury discount on surefire top-3 PPR back Jamaal Charles, who’s been medically (foot) cleared. Into the second round, it became obvious that I was drafting in a room full of NFL writers, not fantasy football writers. In a full PPR league, the fact that both Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees went early and allowed me to select A.J. Green at 2.09 is laughable. This was without question the best value of the early rounds.

I had tough decisions on my 3rd- and 5th-round WRs (Randall Cobb and Eric Decker), and could have went several different directions, as I was not expecting to have so many outstanding options. Lamar Miller at the end of the 4th felt like stealing. I added more outstanding RB/WR depth in Chris Ivory and Miles Austin in the 6th/7th, while other owners continued to foolishly overvalue the QB position. By understanding the unprecedented depth of QB and the basic principles of Value Based Drafting, I was able to build a dominant RB/WR/Flex foundation that will power me through bye weeks. Meanwhile, I’ll platoon my 8th/9th round QBs (Russell Wilson and Michael Vick) based on matchup, closing the gap on guys like Brees while crushing everywhere else. Martellus Bennett was my final starter, who I project as a low-end TE1 with nice TD potential in Marc Trestman’s offense.

I think my toughest competition in this league will come from Colts Authority, if his extremely talented (yet injury-prone) RB group can hold up. I also like the look of Bears Backer’s squad. It’s no coincidence that the three teams I view as the strongest in the league slow-played the QB position.
