Different week, same story. Tony and Dr. Phil again dominated the ZB staff pool, nailing 10 of 13 games. All of us held our own, with weekly-picksthe lowest score still hitting eight. But Dr. Phil has pulled out to a four game lead – if this keeps up we may have to dust off some Zoneblitz swag and send it his way.

Here are the standings:

Name Week 9 Overall
Dr. Phil 10-3 95-38-1
Tony 10-3 91-42-1
John 8-5 85-48-1
Maggio 9-4 82-51-1
Andy 8-5 81-52-1

Week 10 presents the last of the six-team bye weeks. They’re wreaking havoc on fantasy football players, but the pick segment just keeps plugging along. Here are our picks for the week:

Game of the Week: Miami at Detroit – I originally planned to go with San Francisco at New Orleans in this spot. But both of those teams are performing below expectations at 4-4. Detroit has been less than dominant in building a 6-2 record, but has been playing short-handed without Calvin Johnson and Joique Bell. Meanwhile, Miami has been one of the under-the-radar teams of the season’s first half. This should be an interesting game.

Game of the Weak: Atlanta at Tampa Bay – This should be a shootout, so fans of nothing but offense may enjoy themselves. But as far as its impact on the standings, very few are going to care about this game.
