Week six provided a wide variety of results among our pickers. A couple guys hit 10. One hit six. We usually don’t weekly-picksvary quite that widely.

That said, the results allowed the overall standings to tighten up some, as Fantasy Editor Maggio took the biggest hit.

Here are the standings:

  Week 6 Total
Rich 10-4 59-32
Vomhof 10-4 51-40
Tony 9-5 59-32
Andy 8-6 61-30
Maggio 6-8 59-32

Where are the must-see match-ups? Week 7 is yet another mediocre slate of games with little more than fantasy results driving the casual fan to the television. Here are our picks:

As mentioned, I think this is a week of dreg games. Hopefully the better games start showing up soon. Meanwhile, there are a couple of exceptions.

Game of the Week: New York Jets at New England – Heading into the season I would not have figured this. I thought the Jets were in for a year of rebuilding. Instead, this game features a 4-1 New York team playing the role of one of the few teams on New England’s schedule that could give them a game this year. I would guess the Pats win, but I might make the time to hunt this one down on TV.

Game of the Weak: Tampa Bay at Washington – The Bucs have two wins and are being led by a rookie, top-pick QB who is taking his lumps. Washington has two wins and the biggest difference between them and Tampa is that the starting QB has been around long enough where it’s becoming doubtful he’s ever going to be more than he is right now. These two squads are going nowhere.
