Road teams ruled the wild card round, but home teams have come back with a vengeance. In the six games since
they are undefeated.
That means it’s number one versus number one in the Super Bowl – as it probably should be for the league’s 50th big game.
Tony nailed the conference championship winners. He’s tied with John Vomhof for the entirety of the postseason. The rest of us split the championship games. Here are the standings heading into the Super Bowl.

And after 21 weeks of football, it all comes down to this. Two suffocating defenses and two great QB storylines – the young, brash rising star and the old, breaking down, hall-of-famer to be – squaring off for the Lombardi Trophy. Here’s how we see it: (more…)

The road teams ruled the wild card round. Home teams came back with a vengeance in the divisionals.
It was a four-game sweep, with Tony and John hitting them all.
Anthony hit three of four. Andy foolishly thought the road dominance would continue. He was 1-3. Here are the standings:

The regular season champ ran into some difficulty last week with his picks. Tony went just 2-2, due in large part to his faith in Cincinnati.
Everyone else sensed the Bengals’ meltdown coming. Andy nailed the Green Bay win over Washington, to finish with the week’s only perfect record.

Where the road teams swept last week, most expect a resurgence of home team dominance in the divisional round.

Ok, it’s been 17 weeks and the riffraff has been eliminated. It’s down to 12. And this week’s wild card round has four
solid, interesting games on the slate. Tony won the regular season pick segment. Can he keep it up in the playoffs?

Well, we’re finally here. It’s week 17. The NFC playoff participants have been decided. The AFC’s field is narrowed to
just a couple question marks. The fantasy football season is complete in every sane league. And now we’ll finish up with one more run at the picks.
Week 16 didn’t go too badly, considering the weird run of games throughout the day. Four of us hit 10. Fantasy Editor Maggio hit 11. Tony has a six-game lead in the standings – the battle between us is almost for second place, where two participants are within a game of Andy. Here are the standings: (more…)

Not that we’re going to spend a lot of time peacocking or anything like that, but Tony is still picking at a top 10 level
according to Pickwatch.com and each of us hit at least 11 games last week. Actually all of us did, except Rich, who nailed 12. So it was a solid week.
We’re actually holding our own in this segment. We suck at survivor pools and our bets have been just abysmal … but we generally can make a decent guess at who is going to win a game straight up.
Here’s where we’re at with standings so far:

This will be a difficult week, what with the holidays and all. Will the teams out of the playoff race show up to play or are their bags already packed? Will the teams who need to win be focused or will their minds be on the last-minute Christmas shopping they have to finish?
