NFL Picks 2015: Week 11

Let’s start out by talking about what went right last week.

Now that we’ve gotten through that, let’s talk about the rest.

Holy cow, this football season is bizarre. Green Bay starts 6-0 then loses three straight, including at home to a team that hadn’t won in Lambeau Field since 1991?

Peyton Manning throws four interceptions and basically gives his team no chance to win on the day he breaks the passing yardage record?

The NFL irritates people with color blindness by putting teams in all green and all red uniforms in a nationally-televised Thursday night game? Actually, I kind of got a kick out of the furor the NFL faced on that one – well deserved. The best description I heard of those uniforms was that it looked like Christmas barfed up a football game.

But I digress.

Our week 10 picks were ugly. Very ugly. Only one of us – Tony – got more than half the games correct. John Vomhof Jr. got half of them right. The rest of us tied at five. Putrid.

NFL Picks 2015: Week 10

Well … that was ugly.

Only one of our pickers hit eight games in week nine. Rich, who won our survivor pool, stayed hot in an unpredictable week.

The rest of us ranged from four (Andy) to seven correct. Just one of those weeks, I guess.

NFL Picks 2015: Week 9

We’ve got a way to go before I’m booking my flight to Vegas, but we all hit nine or more games in week eight.

Maybe we can all salvage some dignity the second half of the season and show we actually know a little something about this game.

Tony and Rich led with 11. Andy hit 10. Tony has taken on the season-long lead with Rich and Andy visible in the rear-view mirror.

NFL Picks 2015: Week 8

We’re seven weeks in and we might as well admit – none of us know what the hell is going to happen next.

Devonta Freeman leads the league in rushing, followed by the scrap heap duo of Chris Johnson and Doug Martin. Meanwhile Aaron Rodgers is throwing two picks and ranking somewhere in the middle of the pack in passing yards.

And our writers continue to be all over the dart board when it comes to picking games. This week it was Tony’s turn to post an 11-3 mark, while Andy dropped to the bottom at 8-6. Everyone else was in the middle.

And with a quick glance at this week’s docket, it appears as though the results likely will be much the same.

NFL Picks 2015: Week 7

Week six provided a wide variety of results among our pickers. A couple guys hit 10. One hit six. We usually don’t vary quite that widely.

That said, the results allowed the overall standings to tighten up some, as Fantasy Editor Maggio took the biggest hit.
