NFL Picks 2014: Week 12

Well … that was humbling. Week 11 was a rough one – both for a lot of teams expected to be among the NFL’s best this season and for those of us trying to predict the winners.

I finally won a week, but it was a pretty weak effort at 8-6. Tony, John and Dr. Phil all tied with six correct. Fantasy Editor Anthony Maggio owns the survivor pool, but his picks last week overall left a bit to be desired – he hit just three of 14 games.

There are some really interesting games on the slate this week, including a crossover conference game between Detroit and New England and divisional tilts with the Giants hosting Dallas and Arizona traveling to Seattle, where the Cardinals were the only team to deal the Seahawks a loss in 2013. NFL Picks 2014: Week 11

I think I want to take Dr. Phil to Las Vegas for a football weekend. He’s on an incredible roll, tying once again for the top standings spot in week 10 – with Andy – at 10-3.

NFL Picks 2014: Week 10

Different week, same story. Tony and Dr. Phil again dominated the ZB staff pool, nailing 10 of 13 games. All of us held our own, with the lowest score still hitting eight. But Dr. Phil has pulled out to a four game lead – if this keeps up we may have to dust off some Zoneblitz swag and send it his way.

NFL Picks 2014: Week 9

Dr. Phil needs to apply for a job in football. He continues to pace the pick segment. His 13 wins last week put some distance between him and the rest of us. Tony continues to lead those of us who write for the site. His 11-4 also left the rest of us further in his dust. I continue lagging behind, though I can call bragging rights on the Washington win on Monday night. I’m just not sold on Dallas.

There are a lot of bye weeks this week and a bunch of games that feel like potential one-sided blowouts. Theoretically that could mean padding the stats a bit? There – I jinxed it. Gotta keep things interesting.
