Week 3 Update & Week 4 Picks

All right, time for the weekly update.  In our Ranked Picks, we actually went 13-3 last week, but again missed a couple of high pointers (15 New England, 8 Carolina), which kept us out of the money.  Head to head, I dropped another game to Andy–he went 7-1, while I went 6-2.  That leaves us at 19-4 for Andy to 12-11 for me for the year.

In straight picks, Andy went 13-3 (missing New England, Carolina, and Cleveland), while I went 12-4 (New England, Carolina, Chicago, and Indy).  Andy is 35-12 for the season, while I am 30-17.

Against the Spread, I had a great week, at 11-5, compared to 7-9 for Andy.  That puts him at 17-13-1 for the year (throwing out week 1, since we didn’t do individual picks), and puts me at 19-11-1.

Here are the picks for this week–when the byes come up in the ranked pool, college games are substituted.  We didn’t bother to pick those head to head.

UPDATE*** We were 3/3 in college games yesterday, so we’re already at 21 points for the week.  Woo-hoo!

Week 2 Picks Update & Week 3 Picks

A quick update on our picks from last week, and our week 3 picks, before we (hopefully) get back into some regular posting.

The postponement of the Texans/Ravens game made things a little interesting–it was originally our one point game in our ranked picks, and the pool organizer simply adjusted everyone’s points around it–so no concern there. But in our head-to-head competition, it meant I was a game short–and it wouldn’t technically get made up, since we always pick 16 games a week (using college games as fill ins for byes).

So, to make things fair for us, we dropped Andy’s last selection, his 2-point pick of Tennessee over the Bengals. That makes him 5-2 for the week–which is what I pulled off too. So head-to-head, he keeps a significant lead thanks to Week 1, 12-3 to 6-9.

Week 2 Picks

We made our picks Thursday, but just getting them posted now. We broke out the Against the Spread picks into individual picks, since we would have had some differences last week.

Andy is killing me so far, especially in our Draft’em Game Picks (which we use for the ranked picks)–he went 7-1, I went 1-7 last week, putting him up $12. This week, I again got to pick game 16, he picked 15 and 14, and we alternated from there.

Season Kick-off: ZoneBlitz Picks

LAS VEGAS – All right, NFL season kick-off is just a couple hours away, so we figured we’d better get our picks posted.

There’s a bunch of different picks below–basically, Andy picks them, I pick them, you can see the ZoneBlitz picks that were submitted in a pick pool (along with where we ranked the games), and a ZoneBlitz pick against the spread.
