Wes Welker scored a touchdown against Arizona last week and did a snow angel.
He received a ridiculous 15 yard penalty for the act.
And then the NFL fined him $10,000.
Welker was fined the same amount that Shaun Ellis of the Jets was for throwing a snow boulder into the stands in Seattle.
Could the NFL’s fine stance be anymore ridiculous?

On this one, I tend to lean towards the Ellis fine being too light, rather than the Welker one being ridiculous. Under their ‘No Fun League’ policy, they have to be even handed, and the fun actions of Wes Welker have to be dealt with the same as the douchebaggery of an Ocho Dinko or TO.
That explanation is not wrong but it does not make the situation as a whole right.
