I finally picked one game back up on Andy in Week 5, although 8-5 is hardly awe inspiring. Season standings are now 50-27 for Andy vs. 47-30.  This week, just a couple of differences between us, with Andy taking a couple of upset chances like San Francisco & Carolina on the road.

Game of the Week: San Francisco @ Detroit – Who would have thought heading into this season that these two teams would have only one loss between them when they faced off in week 6?  If it was you, we’d like to talk to you about writing our Best Bets segment…

Game of the Week, Part 2: Houston @ Baltimore – This game would have taken the top spot if the Texans hadn’t just dropped one to the Raiders, lost Andre Johnson for at least one more week, and lost Mario Williams for the year.  Still, with the Titans tying them for first place in their division (despite Chris Johnson earning every dollar he was due before signing his big extension), this is the kind of game the Texans have to step up and win to prove they are legit.  Meanwhile the Ravens come off the bye with a half-game lead over the surprising Cincinnati Bengals and the suddenly still-old-but-maybe-not-so-bad Pittsburgh Steelers—whose opponents (the Colts and Jaguars, respectively) are a combined 1-9 on the season.

Game of the Weak: Miami @ NY Jets – The Jets finally have to show up for this one, right?  If they want to have any hope of catching the Patriots or Bills, they better.  Meanwhile, the Dolphins have to be somewhat encouraged—the Vikings managed to beat the Cardinals, the Chiefs and Seahawks each have already managed to get to two wins, the Colts suddenly look at least somewhat competent under Curtis Painter, the St. Louis Rams will eventually remember that they have Sam Bradford and win some games (plus they play in the NFC West…which geographically makes no sense, but gets them 4 games against eh Cardinals/Seahawks) and they have a legitimate reason to start Matt Moore, so it doesn’t really look like they’re throwing games just to get Andrew Luck.

Game of the Weak, Part 2: Minnesota @ Chicago – Until the Vikings bench Donovan McNabb, they probably deserve to be on this list.  I’m not even sure their week 9 matchup against the bye looks intriguing.
