We’re down to the final eight. Just about any one of these teams has a shot, but let’s be honest – some are far stronger than others.

We’re down to the final eight. Just about any one of these teams has a shot, but let’s be honest – some are far stronger than others.

Here’s how we see it:

1. SEAHAWKS: The Seahawks were the best team in the league down the stretch, holding their opponents to single digits in five of their last six games. And now they get to play the worst of the remaining playoff teams, making their path to the Super Bowl a little easier. (Yes, the Panthers are red-hot, but let’s not forget that they didn’t even finish .500 during the regular season.)

2. PACKERS: The Pack has the league’s best player and a first-round bye, and they’ve won seven of their last eight games, including an impressive victory over the Pats at Lambeau Field. The only question is whether this high-powered offense can outplay the Seahawks defense in Seattle.

3. PATRIOTS: New England falls one spot in the rankings despite not even playing a game. I know it’s unfair, but the Ravens played really, really well in dispatching the rival Steelers last week. The Baltimore could be a trap game for the Pats.

4. BRONCOS: Andrew Luck and the Colts are dangerous, especially if the defense plays the way it did last week against Cincinnati. But Denver remains the better overall team and should win this one at home.

5. RAVENS: Joe Flacco is back in postseason form, so look out. The Ravens looked great last weekend and could be the top upset candidate of the week.

6. COLTS: The Colts played great against the Bengals last week; Andrew Luck looked like a superstar and the defense played as well as it has all year. The defense will have to play even better this week against the Broncos.

7. COWBOYS: The Cowboys had a great season, but they really came out slow against the Lions last week. This is a big fall from No. 4 last week, but the Boys are going to have to come out a lot stronger this week if they hope to beat the Packers at Lambeau Field.

8. PANTHERS: Carolina is on fire right now, having won five straight, including last week’s victory over the Cardinals. The defense is playing great—and I actually think this squad could give the Seahawks more of a challenge than some expect—but I still can’t envision the Panthers hoisting the Lombardi Trophy when all is said and done.
