Well, give Andy some credit. Every time Tony starts narrowing the gap Andy comes back with a solid win. It’s still anyone’s contest, but time is running out.

Week 14 Andy 11-5
Season Andy 108-99-1

Can he stay hot?

1) Andy: 49ers over Falcons – Not a horrible run the second half of the season for Atlanta but they’re not sticking with a red-hot San Francisco team that now controls its own destiny for the NFC’s top seed.

2) Tony: Patriots over Bengals – Bill Belichick and Tom Brady just can’t turn it off. The news that Patriots staffers were caught video taping the Bengals sideline this past week is an embarrassment to their franchise, and the league. And the cover story is almost laughable, and the fact that the rumor is that the league won’t be punishing them severely is also a joke. The worst part is, they shouldn’t even need to cheat to win this game–at this point, they must not get the same high from winning if they aren’t cheating.

3) Tony: Ravens over Jets – The only reason I didn’t take this game #2 overall is because it’s played on Thursday night, and I didn’t scroll far enough back up to the top to see it when I was checking the weekly schedule. Plus I was anxious to make fun of the Patriots for feeling the need to cheat against the Bengals.

4) Andy: Saints over Colts – Indianapolis is in free-fall. The Saints lost a tough one to the Niners Sunday and need to win to stay in the mix for a bye. They win on motivation alone.

5) Tony: Chiefs over Broncos – Drew Lock has looked solid in winning his first two starts. Let’s see if he can keep up with the Chiefs, in a game that I am guessing Andy Reid felt no need to try and gain the upper hand by having advance scouts film the Broncos sideline for.

6) Andy: Raiders over Jaguars – This is going to come down to nothing more than effort. It’s become painfully clear in recent weeks that the Jags care even less than the honey badger. After getting to .500 at the midway point of the season, the Jaguars have lost their last five — by a combined 117 points. Oakland isn’t necessarily good yet, but Jon Gruden has them fighting. They win this one comfortably.

7) Tony: Seahawks over Panthers – If there was one other coach in the NFL that I thought might stoop to video taping future opponents’ sidelines, it might be Pete Carroll. Or Jim Harbaugh, if he came back. But even Pete Carroll wouldn’t stoop to cheating for this one.

8) Andy: Eagles over Washington – I’m trusting a team I’m not sure I should to come through against another divisional opponent. Washington is just that bad.

9) Tony: Rams over Cowboys – You know the Cowboys couldn’t cheat–first, Jerry Jones would micromanage it to the point of direct involvement, then he would try to claim the success for it if it worked. And if it wouldn’t, Cowboy fans would demand the firing of someone who wasn’t directly responsible for it. And if the Rams tried to cheat…it would be cutting edge & innovating, according to the media. What does this have to do with this week’s game? Nothing. I just want to reiterate with every pick that the Patriots are cheaters…and that the Cowboys (NFC East) can’t beat any good teams.

10) Andy: Vikings over Chargers – Not as easy a game as the disparity in records would indicate, but the Vikings have been pretty good this season at winning games they should.

11) Tony: Buccaneers over Lions – Matt Patricia came from the Belichick coaching tree, but like many of his prodige, he hasn’t been able to carry over the success. Maybe he just needs to worry less about his players, and focus on his film crew…

12) Andy: Browns over Cardinals – Throwing darts at this point. Cleveland has been better of late. Arizona … has a ways to go.

13) Tony: Titans over Texans – The Titans have been on fire, scoring at least 31 points in their last four games, while the Texans haven’t gotten over 28 in that stretch. This will be a tougher game than any of the last four for the Titans–the perfect game to have had their advance scouts tape the sideline–but they are at home.

14) Andy: Bills over Steelers – What Pittsburgh and Mike Tomlin have done this season in terms of staying competitive through injuries and offseason defections is no-doubt impressive. They’re not going to win them all, however. Buffalo has proven to be a legit team with some solid wins. Not sure why Pittsburgh is favored.

15) Tony: Giants over Dolphins – The Dolphins have been playing nearly competent football as of late, while the Giants have lost 9 straight–but the Dolphins are a bit beat up coming into the game, and they’re heading north to play in New York–while Eli Manning looks to possibly start his final game (with the Giants), playing a team he’s never lost to.

16) Andy: Bears over Packers – Neither team is playing great. The Packers are probably better, but … who cares.

Andy’s not having such great luck in the straight-up pick pool. Tony keeps his commanding season-long lead with a tie in week 14.
