Something something something…with no Thursday games this week, we got picks done, but forgot to get them posted.

Pretty sure we tied last week, despite an atrocious start to Tony’s picks — Andy missed a bunch at the bottom to make up for it.

Week 16 Tie: 8-8
Season Tony 120-119-1

Here are the picks.

1) Andy – Patriots over Jaguars – New England stumbled against Buffalo last week, but the Patriots are still playoff bound. Jacksonville lost James Robinson last week, a terrible individual result for the team as it winds down yet another terrible season. All hope should be about lost.

2) Tony – Buccaneers over Jets – The Bucs go on the road, and they’re still 13.5 point favorites. Shows just how bad the Jets are this year.

3) Tony – Bills over Falcons – The Falcons are somewhat surprisingly 7-8 heading into the last two weeks, but I wouldn’t expect them to love playing in Buffalo in January, and the Bills are back to having something to prove.

4) Andy – 49ers over Texans – Houston is playing hard, but there is a significant talent gap with most teams. Even if Trey Lance starts for the 49ers, it shouldn’t be too big of a deal. The Niners are built around running and playing defense even when Jimmy Garoppolo is the QB.

5) Tony – Chargers over Broncos – The Chargers have been disappointing as of late, while the Broncos are another surprise (in my eyes) 7-8 team. I’m assuming that Teddy Bridgewater won’t play again, which gives the edge to the Chargers.

6) Andy – Chiefs over Bengals – Cincinnati is good. Maybe even starting to border on great. But until someone beats them in the postseason, Kansas City is the best in the conference.

7) Tony – Packers over Vikings – It would be a typical Viking move to beat the Packers and then blow it against the Bears to make the playoffs. Or, since most Vikings fans seem to want Mike Zimmer fired, for them to win out and make the playoffs–possibly prolonging the agony another year. But I’ll still take the Pack here.

8) Andy – Eagles over Football Team – Thought the Packers would be here for this pick. No matter. Washington looked horrible last week against Dallas. Philadelphia isn’t great, but seems to have kind of found a formula that keeps them competitive. That should be more than enough this week.

9) Tony – Colts over Raiders – Getting into the Bad vs Bad/Good vs Good section of the week. Colts are at home, Raiders have been fading. Might need Carson Wentz to get back for this one — sounds like he’s got a shot — but we’ll trust Jonathan Taylor to lead the way.

10) Andy – Cowboys over Cardinals – A minor prediction here relating to Tony’;s Indy pick: By this time next year I predict there are more than a few people calling for Sam Ehlinger to be the starter in Indianapolis over Carson Wentz, if it hasn’t already happened. I agree with his pick. Now, moving on … When DeAndre Hopkins got hurt Arizona’s offense went downhill significantly. Dallas played week 16 like it needs to play in the playoffs. Was it a one shot deal or the beginning of a big playoff run? This game will be telling.

11) Tony – Seahawks over Lions – The Seahawks are not good, but the Lions are worse. Reporters were legitimately asking head coach Dan Campbell if he might suit up at TE this week due to injury. But it sounds like they might send D’Andre Swift back out there, despite the lost season–so I’ll give him points for that (coming from a fantasy owner that could use a big Swift week in the Championship).

12) Andy – Rams over Ravens – From the sounds of it, Lamar Jackson’s still limping around like he has a broken leg. Tyler Huntley (who may actually be better than Jackson in some ways?) is capable, but … is the rest of the team? Baltimore is trending the wrong way. After a few weeks of subpar football in late November, the Rams look like they may have, to a large degree, corrected their issues.

13) Tony – Saints over Panthers – Last week, Andy tried to convince himself that the Saints shouldn’t have been 3-point underdogs to the Dolphins because of their defense. Not sure if he forgot about Ian Book or not. This week, facing Sam Darnold and presumably with one of their…slightly better than Book options back, I will agree with him–the Saints defense should win them this one.

14) Andy – Titans over Dolphins – In fairness, if it weren’t for the Book pick-six early in that game, it’s 3-3 well into the second half. I didn’t mean to suggest the Saints would win, I just questioned whether the Dolphins would do much against New Orleans’ defense. That’s hard to explain in 140 characters on Twitter. Eiother way, I would have won with my under pick there. This week, I’m going against Miami again. They’re on a nice win streak, but it’s been built up against a significant collection of not-very-good teams. Tennessee is getting close to back to full strength. I’m not 100 percent sold on either team, but it feels to me like this would be about the time for Miami to drop one.

15) Tony – Browns over Steelers – The Steelers would love nothing more than to go out and win what will likely be Ben Roethlisberger’s final home game in Heinz Field. Unfortunately, their talent (and his) might prevent them from accomplishing that. They can hope that the Browns drizzle another one down their leg–they are capable of that–but I think Nick Chubb will lead them to victory.

16) Andy – Bears over Giants – There have been a few “who cares” games the last few weeks. This one is right up there. The Bears are at home. They’re getting Allen Robinson back. Whatever. They win. But if we were still doing our gambling segment, there’s a chance this would be my money line upset for the week because while Vegas sees the Giants as +225 and the Bears as -265, I basically see this as a tossup.

Tony keeps taking the straight up picks, and has a nearly insurmountable lead going into the last two weeks:
