An 8-6 win gives Andy an edge in, if memory serves, five of six weeks so far. But he only has a seven game edge in the overall standings. Tony’s keeping it tight.

Week Six Andy 8-6
Season Andy 49-42-1

Here are the picks for week seven.

1) Andy: 49ers over Washington – Washington almost lost to Miami last week. This team is abysmal.
2) Tony: Patriots over Jets – The Jets started the Patriots dynasty by rupturing Drew Bledsoe’s spleen. Will Belichick try to return the favor?
3) Tony: Bills over Dolphins – The Dolphins successfully completed their mission against Washington, but will have an easier time against the Bills.
4) Andy: Chiefs over Broncos – not quite as confident as I was a month ago on this one, but … I’ll take it.
5) Tony: Packers over Raiders – Packers at home, with the refs seemingly in their back pocket (again). This game will probably make it into my bets as well.
6) Andy: Rams over Falcons – Goff was ugly last week, but he’ll get right against this putrid Atlanta D.
7) Tony: Jaguars over Bengals – Jags need some road wins if they want to make a playoff push, no better place to get one than Cincinnati. Well, maybe Miami. Definitely not DC.
8) Andy: Texans over Colts – Jacksonville is the weirdest team in the league. On any given Sunday they could beat the league’s best team or lose to the Dolphins. I’ll go with the much more consistent Texans … well, consistent may be a stretch, but they’re going to beat the Colts.
9) Tony: Chargers over Titans – Don’t love the Chargers going on the road, but I like Marcus Mariota (or Ryan Tannehill) even less.
10) Andy: Seahawks over Ravens – This is a far less talented Seattle team than the one that went to two Super Bowls a few years ago. But this team is gritty. The comeback against Cleveland was impressive. They’re even tougher at home.
11) Tony: Giants over Cardinals – Neither of these teams are that good, but I’ll give the Giants the slight edge since the Cards have to travel cross country for a noon game, and rumors are that the Giants will have Saquon back.
12) Andy: Saints over Bears – The only parts of the Giants/Cardinals game I want are the over and the daily fantasy stats. Then again, I really don’t want to have to pick this game either, but … there’s not a lot left. The Saints are hot, the Bears are not.
13) Tony: Eagles over Cowboys – The Cowboys’ wheels may be coming off…I mean, the Eagles’ might be too, but … at least their last loss wasn’t to the J-E-T-S.
14) Andy: Vikings over Lions – Hard to not feel a bit for the Lions after the Packers game, but … score TDs and not FGs. That said, Minnesota may be starting to get it together? The Lions have looked a lot like the Lions the last couple games.

Every few weeks I like to check in with NFLPickwatch to see how our picks fare against the “experts” across the media. Despite back-to-back mediocre weeks, we’d be falling in at around a tie for 10th. Not bad – they keep track of a lot of picks at the site. So, we may not know what we’re talking about, but we hold our own.
