Every Thursday on 1500ESPN’s Fantasy Football Pants Party, Anthony Maggio and Bo Mitchell field their Ballsy teams—a full fantasy lineup comprised only of players available in at least half of ESPN.com leagues. Each week Zoneblitz.com will publish a preview, with Maggio’s top-rated at each position among the Ballsy-eligible players.

Mark Sanchez vs. Carolina

With Nick Foles out for upwards of two months, Sanchez could be the last ray of hope for QB-desperate teams still with fantasy title aspirations. I certainly think he’s a top 20 fantasy quarterback rest of season, but that’s not necessarily high praise. Still, he looked good this preseason, stepped in and did fine without first-team reps last week when Foles was injured, and faces a below-average defense against fantasy quarterbacks at home this week. With six teams on bye, Sanchez is a top 10 play this week.

Tre Mason at Arizona

That note about six teams on bye? It applies even more at the running back position. Mason tops my list because I THINK he’ll get a bulk of the workload. Unfortunately, he gets it against a Cardinals club allowing the fourth fewest fantasy points to running backs. Basically I’m admitting the ceiling isn’t really high here, and there’s plenty of risk involved. But such is the waiver wire in Week 10.

Martavis Bryant at NY Jets

Five touchdowns in three weeks is impossible to ignore. Simply put, Bryant’s the best player available in more than half of ESPN.com leagues, and it’s not close. The Jets are middle-of-the-road against fantasy wideouts this year, but with the streak Ben Roethlisberger is on, his No. 2 WR is a must start in fantasy leagues—regardless of league size.

Owen Daniels vs. Tennessee

Daniels continues to fly under the radar because he’s putting up good, not great numbers. But he’s gone for 43 yards or more in four of his last five games and has nine targets and more than 50 receiving yards in back-to-back games. He’s facing a Titans team that’s allowing the ninth most fantasy points to tight ends this week. With so many teams on bye and little out there anyway, Daniels actually has surprisingly good upside here.

Chandler Catanzaro vs. St. Louis

It’s been a slow three weeks for Catanzaro as he’s only kicked two field goals in his last three games. But he’s still tied for 11th in the league among kickers in scoring and gets a Rams team this week that’s in the upper half of the league in fantasy points allowed to kickers.

Steelers DEF at NY Jets

The Steelers usually give up plenty of points, but they also have picked off seven passes the last six weeks and snapped up six fumbles and scored thrice their last seven weeks. And the best news here is a date with the Jets, who as a team are supplying the fifth most points to fantasy defenses this year thanks in part to being just 30th in the league scoring with 17.1 points per game and fourth in the league with 16 turnovers.
