Good week for Tony. One of his better ones. Andy still has the edge for the season, but he’s been down the last couple weeks. Can he get back on track?

Andy: I’m playing a bit of a game of studs-and-duds this week, though I think the “duds” all have upside based on either match-up or recent usage trends. Tony’s catching up. Gotta bury him again.

QB – Aaron Rodgers vs JAX – $8,100 – There aren’t more than a couple QBs in the league playing better than Rodgers right now and Jacksonville’s defense isn’t exactly dominant. In Lambeau … no-brainer.

RB – Phillip Lindsay @ LAS – $5,300 – I don’t love Lindsay, but against Oakland he and Melvin Gordon should both feast. At this price, I don’t need a ton from him to make him worthwhile.

RB – Dalvin Cook @ CHI – $9,200 – Lindsay also allowed me the budget to spend on Cook, easily the hottest running back in the league right now and, possibly, when healthy, the best.

WR – Davante Adams vs JAX – $9,000 – In his last four games, Adams has 10, 16, 12 and 12 targets. He has six TDs in the last three games. He’s playing Jacksonville. Thank you.

WR – Diontae Johnson vs CIN – $5,500 – Johnson usually gets treated like a WR1 when he plays. He has a 10 target and 15 target game in his last three. For $5,500 I’ll take that in a game against Cincinnati.

WR/TE – Darnell Mooney vs MIN – $4,200 – I needed a cheap flex here to fit a couple of the stars in. Mooney is starting to get more looks in Chicago, with seven, six and 11 targets in his last three games. I’ll take that against a Minnesota secondary that looks to be improving but is still young and beat up.

TE – T.J. Hockenson vs WAS – $5,400 – Hockenson is becoming a bigger part of the offense in Detroit and he’s priced reasonably.

Flex – Antonio Gibson @ DET- $6,100 – He’s not scoring every week, but everyone saw what Dalvin Cook did to Detroit last week. Gibson is a different kind of back, but certainly has the skillset to put up a big game here.

DST – Cleveland vs HOU – $2,100 – Go to the bottom, scroll up until you find a defense that won’t suck, click.

Tony

QB – Jared Goff vs SEA – $6,900 – Rodgers vs Jax is enticing, but Goff is a lot cheaper, and faces a Seahawks team that is getting lit up in the passing game.

RB – James Robinson @ GB – $7,200 – Strange season that an UDFA has become a staple of many of my regular AND DFS lineups—but he faces another suspect rush defense this week, and keeps putting up numbers.

RB – Jonathan Taylor @ TEN – $5,700 – He’s actually my budget filler…but I trust him to get in the end zone more than David Montgomery at this price point, and Zack Moss has a tougher matchup for just a little less. After switching Irv Smith in for Tonyan, I freed up $200 more…but still sticking with Taylor over McKinnon.

WR – Davante Adams vs JAX – $9,000 – That enticing matchup for Rodgers?  Everyone knows where he’s going with the ball—the Jags still can’t stop him.

WR – Allen Robinson vs MIN – $7,400 – The Bears don’t have an NFL caliber QB on the roster, but the Vikings don’t seem to have any NFL caliber CB healthy right now. The only worrisome part is how many targets Darrell Mooney is getting.

WR/TE – Travis Fulgham @ NYG – $6,300 – He’s still putting up like 20+ FFPPG right now, and playing a weak Giants team.

TE – Irv Smith @ CHI – $4,000 – I had Robert Tonyan ($4,200) in the lineup, but I’m trying to avoid stacks—and after a slow start, Irv has put up double digit games in three of his last four, and has a favorable matchup with the Bears.

FLEX – Antonio Gibson @ DET – $6,100 – He’s put up double digit points all but two weeks—a 9.5 point game a couple weeks back, and his low point performance was the season opener.

DST – Football Team @ DET – $2,200 – With the Jets on bye, grab the highest scoring team with a solid matchup—Washington fits that bill.
