Tony got his win during Week 3, then managed to shut himself out Week 4 — somehow in editing his lineup, he managed to not technically file a lineup … but the contest moved forward, so he lost his wager. However, we figured out his point total from Week 4 manually and … he would have lost anyway — albeit close, 123.08-120.18. Another 30 yards would have given him a win.

Andy’s still got the lead for the season, but the gap tightened considerably.

Week 4 Season Total points
Andy 123.08 0-1 541.06
Tony 120.18 1-3 521.40

QB – Russell Wilson vs Min – $8,300 – I have a sneaky suspicion that we may have some overlap in our lineups this week …

RB – James Robinson @ Hou – $6,900 – Sacrificing a little bit at RB this week …

RB – Antonio Gibson vs LAR – $5,500 – Gibson has been trending the right way for a couple weeks—if he keeps it up, might be the last week to get him this cheap.

WR – Justin Jefferson @ Sea – $6,200 – Actually took him as an economical play, based on his last two weeks, and knowing that Seattle is not a great defensive team any more.

WR – Tyler Lockett vs Min – $7,700 – Funny … the Vikings aren’t good defensively any more either …

WR – DK Metcalf vs Min – $7,600 – In fact, they’re bad enough that I’m going for the double stack with Wilson/Lockett/Metcalf.

TE – Chris Herndon vs Ari – $3,500 – He burned me last week, but he’s cheap, and he has Joe Flacco throwing to him this week.

Flex – DJ Chark @ Hou – $6,800 – I originally had Deandre Hopkins lined up here, but had to cut budget when I decided to go double stack.

DST – Arizona @ NYJets – $2,500 – Same reason I took Herndon…they’re cheap and they have Joe Flacco throwing it to them.

QB – Russell Wilson vs Min – $8,300 – Tony’s correct. We’re going to have some overlap this week. Which is kind of dull, but what are you going to do? This game has a 57 O/U number. This is where the points are going to be.

RB – Mike Davis @ ATL – $7,000 – Mike Davis has looked surprisingly good since replacing the injured Christian McCaffrey. Atlanta has looked abysmal and is beat up again. The Panthers will win largely on the legs of a big game by Davis.

RB – James Robinson @ HOU – $6,900 – This game lost a bit to me when the Texans fired Bill O’Brien. I suspect you’ll get a more spirited Texans effort this week. But Robinson keeps just churning out solid-but-unspectacular rushing totals along with a couple of catches each week.

WR — DK Metcalf vs MIN – $7,600 – Metcalf leads the league in receptions of more than 20 yards this season. He’s going against a battered secondary that continues to start several inexperienced corners. He may double his long catch totals in this game. He’s my one must-have in all DFS lineups this weekend.

WR – C.J Lamb vs NYG – $6,400 – Amari Cooper may put up slightly higher numbers than Lamb for the season, but Lamb is still considerably cheaper. He’s got to be the early leader in the clubhouse for rookie of the year and he’s playing a generally putrid Giants team.

WR – Jerry Jeudy @ NEP – $5,700 – The other highly-touted rookie wideout, he caught a TD from Brett Rypien last week. Courtland Sutton is out for the year, Noah Fant and KJ Hamler are out this week — someone has to catch the ball. I suspect he’ll get enough targets to put up solid numbers.

WR – Derrious Slayton @ DAL – $5,500 – Flippin’ COVID. This might have been a better play anyway.

TE – Mark Andrews vs CIN – $6,800 – This play counts a little bit on Lamar Jackson suiting up this week, but I think he will have a good game either way. He’s a big target and probably the team’s most consistent receiver, perfect for the starter or the top backup to have a good game against a bad defense.

Flex – Chase Claypool vs PHI – $4,100 – So, for the flex position, I usually fill out the lineup I want, then see how much I have left. The first guy I’m comfortable with is who I select. Claypool is averaging 10 points per week so far, largely built on his three catch, 88-yard, one score performance in week three. He’ll get a chance to duplicate that against a Philadelphia team that isn’t exactly intimidating these days.

DST – Tampa Bay @ CHI – $2,200 – Once again, scroll to the bottom, find the cheapest defense that isn’t likely to embarrass itself, click select.
