I’m just going to come out and say it – we’re mailing this one in. Let’s face it. If you’ve been paying attention to our picks, you’re long out of any survivor pools you entered. Sorry about that – next year we should pay attention to your picks rather than you paying attention to ours.

Happy Holidays.

Last week was much like the first 14 – a couple of us threw darts that hit, the rest of us missed. Here is who has been picked prior to week 16:

And here is who we are picking this week:

This week’s pick
Rich Houston
Tony Buffalo
Maggio Denver
Vomhof Detroit
Andy Pittsburgh

And here are our explanations:

Rich – Contributing writer and publisher and editor for SouthernMinn SCENE magazine

The Texans are one of those teams who have gotten it together too late in the year, and are really wishing this was Week 9 and not Week 16.

Tony – Co-founder, web guru

It just sucks that in week 17, I’m going to have to find someone other than who’s going against Dallas or Baltimore.

Maggio – Fantasy editor

The Broncos defense will be fuming all week after being lit up by the Steelers. AJ McCarron doesn’t stand a chance.

Vomhof – Senior contributing writer

At 5-9, the Detroit Lions aren’t exactly an NFL powerhouse, but they’ve been playing a little better of late, especially on offense. Matthew Stafford has tossed 12 TDs in his last four games, even though Calvin Johnson has been pretty much M.I.A. the past couple of weeks. The 49ers, meanwhile, have lost four of their last five games. They’ve scored a paltry 202 points in 14 games, by far the worst in the NFL.

Andy – Co-founder, editorial director

I’m a little surprised I haven’t used the Steelers. It’s a good week for it. Baltimore has put most of its team on injured reserve this season. This is usually a contested battle, but this should be a blowout.
