Andy has established a potentially dominating lead in the alternative picks in the early going, as he picked up another four games in the chaos of week five.

Tony’s closer in the straight-up picks, but this segment has the potential to turn in to a runaway.

Week 5 Andy 9-5
Season 45-31-1

1) Andy: Ravens over Eagles – This is going to be a challenging week, but I feel pretty confident that the Ravens, who have been good against everyone they have played this season except Kansas City, will beat Philadelphia. Incidentally, one of the disappointing things about this season is that, with almost no fans in the stands, there aren’t enough neanderthals in that city watching the Eagles suck in person this year.
2) Tony: Dolphins over Jets – Never would have guessed the Dolphins would be a #2 pick this year–that’s how bad the Jets are.
3) Tony: Colts over Bengals – I don’t particularly care for this pick…but that’s just how bad the slate of games is this week.
4) Andy: Patriots over Broncos – Belichick will put together a defense that will stymie whoever Denver runs out at QB.
5) Tony: Titans over Texans – Hopefully they really are done with the positive tests…and they’ve started to get some players back already from COVID, it’s been so long.
6) Andy: Chiefs over Bills – Kansas City is still the league’s finest, despite the Raiders game. Buffalo could silence a lot of non-believers by winning this game, but I suspect playing a Tuesday nighter and following up with KC is going to be too much.
7) Tony: Packers over Buccaneers – The rumors of the demise of the career of one of the star QB featured in this game appear to be put to rest for the year. Hard to pick against him when the rumors of the other star QBs demise appear to be somewhat legitimate.
8) Andy: Steelers over Browns – Cleveland has its best team in years, but Pittsburgh is on fire. This might actually be appointment television on Sunday.
9) Tony: Rams over 49ers – The Rams have surpassed expectations in 2020, and the 49ers have fallen flat. They’re starting to get some guys healthy, but they’re still not firing on all cylinders.
10) Andy: Vikings over Falcons – Minnesota might fall out of the Trevor Lawrence race this weekend. The Vikings suck, but not nearly to the same level of suck the Falcons can bring to this game. Don’t watch this one if you have a choice. It’s really going to suck.
11) Tony: Cardinals over Cowboys – A week ago, this was a no doubt Cowboys pick. A week ago, Dak Prescott was in line for a big contract, because he had two fully functioning ankles. A lot can change in a week.
12) Andy: Panthers over Bears – I can’t figure either of these teams out. Either one could, in any given week, look like a Super Bowl contender or a Trevor Lawrence tanker. But Teddy is better than anything the Bears are rolling out at QB, and if I’m throwing darts, that’s where I’ll start.
13) Football Team over Giants – I know the Giants are at home…but I’m still not sure how they’re favored. The Football Team will be starting their best or second best quarterback…the Giants are being led in rushing by Daniel Jones and his 34.3 yards/game.
14) Lions over Jaguars – If two crappy teams nicknamed for giant cats plays a game and nobody watches does it have to count in the standings? Who cares.

Andy only gained a single game in the straight-up picks, where the writers again agreed on most of the games. The COVID-related Denver-New England postponement dropped the game count to 14.
