This was actually a pretty good week for both Tonys and Andy, but in the alternative picks, it only really reflects well on Tony T.

He went 7-0 in his picks en route to a 9-5 week and his second consecutive win.

Here are the standings:

Week 7 Tony 9-5
Season Andy 54-51-2

And here are the alternative picks for week eight.

1) Andy: Patriots over Bills – Derek Anderson, Josh Allen, it really doesn’t matter. I don’t know if the Patriots beat the spread, though I suspect that two TDs will be a piece of cake. But I don’t see any way Buffalo sneaks out of this one with a win.

2) Tony: Chiefs over Broncos – I saw an article after last week’s Broncos game that Chad Kelly might find his way into some playing time this year. He found his way to jail instead. That kind of season for the Broncos…doesn’t make it easy to beat the high powered Chiefs.

3) Tony: Rams over Packers – I don’t necessarily feel great about this one, given Aaron Rodgers–but even if Cooper Kupp misses a second straight week, who’s going to stop Todd Gurley?

4) Andy: Texans over Dolphins – Houston has won four in a row. While it doesn’t feel like they’ve fully hit stride yet, especially on offense, I suspect that they are playing well enough to comfortably dispatch a Miami team that has lost three of four (by 31, 10 and 11 points), is struggling with WR and QB injuries and has a supposedly healthy, supposedly No. 1 receiver who is angry at the team and would like to be traded. Way to capitalize on that hot start, Dolphins.

5) Tony: Steelers over Browns – The Browns keep Browns-ing games.

6) Andy: Bengals over Bucs – Cincinnati isn’t bad. The Bucs … well, they are.

7) Tony: Washington over Giants – Heard on NFL Radio this week someone say that the Redskins are good enough to hang with pretty much any team outside of the top of the NFC. This week definitely qualifies.

8) Andy: Philadelphia over Jacksonville – I probably pay the price for this one. As the week has worn on, I am starting to feel like the Jaguars might rally around the controversies surrounding their offense versus defense divide that was disclosed to the public earlier this week. But … Fly, Eagles, Fly.

9) Tony: Bears over Jets – Bears have fallen back a bit, more like…who we thought they were? But I don’t see them letting the Jets off the hook.

10) Andy: Lions over Seahawks – Earlier in the season I wondered if Matt Patricia was going to be a short-termer in Detroit. Now it seems like he might have things headed in the right direction.

11) Tony: Colts over Raiders – So Jon Gruden at this point has brought back his 2001 offense, including his offensive line coach that teaches a style different than his OL is one of the best in the league at, traded away their disgruntled defensive MVP that was an All-Pro at two separate positions, watched their quarterback regress, traded their top WR that was going to be the focal point of the offense, and put Marshawn Lynch–the one person on the team that was putting together passable numbers–on IR. But hey, Vegas is just around the corner…

12) Andy: Panthers over Ravens – I don’t love this pick, but I do think Carolina is playing well enough where it’s surprising the Ravens are favored in Charlotte. These teams are probably about equal – good, but not great teams that can beat anyone, but also, in any given week, could drop a growler.

13) Tony: 49ers over Cardinals – I just really, really didn’t want to pick the Vikings game.

14) Andy: Saints over Vikings – Banged up Minnesota secondary puts them behind the eight-ball in this one. Drew Brees will know better how to take advantage of Holton Hill than Sam Darnold did.

And here are the standings for our straight-up picks:
