It was a good week for Andy. He hit all but one of his picks while Tony struggled, opening up the largest gap of the season.

Here are the standings:

Week 13 Andy 12-4
Season Andy 106-84-2

And here are the picks:

1) Tony: Steelers over Raiders – The Steelers are coming off a terrible collapse, and have bigger challenges over the next two weeks with the Patriots and the Saints. So they might be looking past the Radiers. Oh, and James Conner is out. Good thing looking past the Raiders isn’t as big of a deal as looking past someone like the Bills.

2) Andy: Chargers over Bengals – Cincinnati has lost Andy Dalton, A.J. Green and, seemingly, the will to compete. One would have to suspect that Marvin Lewis is, finally, in his final days as coach of the Bengals.

3) Andy: Chiefs over Ravens – Baltimore’s three game winning streak under Lamar Jackson’s leadership is a bit misleading, in that it has come against Cincinnati, Oakland and Atlanta. Prior to the streak, the team lost three in a row playing against teams that actually have reason to care.

4) Tony: Saints over Buccaneers – Drew Brees has struggled the last couple of games (despite his 4 TD performance on Thanksgiving), and he’s on the road. At the end of the day, I just don’t think the Bucs have enough to hang with the Saints.

5) Andy: Patriots over Dolphins – I know Miami seems to have some weird thing against New England at home. That doesn’t warrant actually picking them to win again. Sooner or later Bill Belichick will figure the Dolphins out.

6) Tony: Texans over Colts – The Texans are the hottest team in the NFL right now, and while the Colts have improved, I don’t think they’re quite there yet. Then again, I’ve been terrible at this.

7) Andy: Rams over Bears – Chicago was bound to have a stumble but to have it against the Giants last week was unfortunate for them. They now take on one of the two best teams in the conference, if not the league. They’ll pay for last week’s loss.

8) Tony: Titans over Jaguars – I’m seeing a huge game for Derrick Henry here. At least 200 yards and 3 TDs.  Maybe even 238 yards and 4 TDs, who knows. (yeah yeah yeah…I forgot to publish this on Thursday).

9) Andy: Broncos over 49ers – I’m not exactly sure how Denver keeps winning enough games to stay a legit contender for the playoffs. I do know of a few reasons why the 49ers don’t win much.

10) Tony: Lions over Cardinals – This is going to be an absolute beaut of a game. Wait, I meant butte of a game.  I mean butt. This game is going to suck, that’s what I’m trying to say.

11) Andy: Cowboys over Eagles – Philadelphia’s two-game win-streak came against dregs. The Eagles appear to be another team only showing up to beat bad opponents this year. Dallas is actually playing well.

12) Tony: Packers over Falcons – I went back and forth on this one–will the inconsistent Packers show up, or will they show up and prove that Mike McCarthy was the problem? Ultimately I decided that Aaron Rodgers may finally will the Pack to win, just to stick it to McCarthy.

13) Andy: Browns over Panthers – A month ago there’s no way I’d pick Cleveland to beat Carolina. Now the Browns are playing well and it’s hard to pick the Panthers to beat anyone.

14) Tony: Bills over Jets – I have to admit, Josh Allen might not be as terrible as I thought he was going to be. He might even reach Blake Bortles level of play. So the Bills have that going for them.

15) Andy: Seahawks over Vikings – These are, somewhat surprisingly, relatively evenly matched teams this season. Seattle is playing at home. We’ll call that the tiebreaker.

16) Tony: Washington over NY Giants – I am strictly taking the home team here. I’m not so sure I shouldn’t have just predicted a zero-zero tie.

Andy also put some distances between himself and the Tonys in our straight-up picks segment, too. He’s got a seven-game lead with four weeks to go.
