Andy won a tight one during a weird weekend that saw plenty of upsets and the result coming down to Monday night.

Week four Andy 8-7
Season Andy 33-29-1

Here are the picks for week five:

1) Andy: Patriots over Washington – Outside of Dolphins games I’m not sure there has been an easier game to predict all season.

2) Tony: Eagles over Jets – To be honest, I only went 2nd and 3rd so I would get the extra game pick–although maybe I should have just let Andy screw it up rather than me. With it sounding like the Jets will have Sam Darnold back, not sure this isn’t an Eagles trap game. But the Eagles are (sadly) the better team.

3) Tony: Chiefs over Colts – The Colts have been plucky, given their injuries/retirements. But plucky isn’t going to get it done against the Chiefs.

4) Andy: Bears over Raiders – I’m underwhelmed by Chicago’s offense this season, but with a defense like they have, they’ve got a chance in every game. I’m underwhelmed by pretty much everything about the Raiders.

5) Tony: Chargers over Broncos – I didn’t think the Broncos were going to be good, but I didn’t think they would be this bad.

6) Andy: Vikings over Giants – Once again, Kirk Cousins has an opportunity to follow up a horsebleep game with one of his signature stat-padders against a bad defense.

7) Tony: Saints over Buccaneers – The Saints have weathered Drew Brees’ injury quite well, and while the Buccaneers played better last week, it’s unlikely they’re good enough to keep up with the Saints.

8) Andy: Bills over Titans – Titans are favored. I don’t really get this one. Buffalo defense is better than the Titans and their offenses seem about equal. I think the Bills are actually going to have a pretty decent season.

9) Tony: Texans over Falcons – The Falcons are another team that I didn’t expect to be this bad.

10) Andy: Ravens over Steelers – This one will be hard fought just because of the two teams playing, but let’s be honest. These Steelers aren’t that good.

11) Tony: Cowboys over Packers – The Pack attack came back to reality a bit last week against a good, not great, Eagles team. The Cowboys are another good, not great, NFC East foe for them.

12) Andy: Browns over 49ers – Can Cleveland keep adding to the momentum they’ve built? I say yes, but not confidently.

13) Tony: Seahawks over Rams – Purely picking the home team on a Thursday night.

14) Andy: Bengals over Cardinals – This game qualifies for the “Who Cares Game of the Week” status. But most likely someone has to win.

15) Tony: Jaguars over Panthers – In a battle of the backups that may not lose their starting roles, I’m going Gardner Minshew over Kyle Allen.

Our straight up picks were pretty ugly last week. Lot’s of carnage…
